On Sunday, after a great morning at church, a few of my younger siblings came over to our house, and we had a sundae/movie/chill/whatever-else-you-could-add-to-this-title-to-make-it cooler party. And let me tell you, it was fun, indeed. I mean, ice cream + anything is fun, so throw in some family, and it was a great time.

I added this disclaimer on my instagram, but I think it’s fitting to tack it on here, too — I added the blur in attempt to block the view of my sink full of dishes. But don’t worry, they got done. My kitchen is all but sparkling right now, thankyouverymuch. So just ignore that part; being with my people was far more important in that moment.

Side note: I just really love the blur feature. (;

I didn’t get any pictures with my siblings, but I did manage to snag one of this, so I’d say it’s fair…? (;

On a more serious note, the reason we did this is because one of my brothers had the opportunity to go down to Houston to help with hurricane aftermath, and the siblings left behind were devastated that they weren’t able to go help, too. So, this was mine & Thomas’ attempt to cheer everyone up, and hey! I think it worked.

Our hearts are absolutely broken for the families that suffered loss, but at the same time, it’s beautiful to see how everyone came together and helped anyone they could, in spite of everything that’s going on in our nation right now.

To not drag this out too much, I’ll just end this by saying I’m just really proud to be a Texan, y’all.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
